Students can embark on a veritable knowledge hunt with our CMC (Concept Maps & Content) section. The CMC is a storehouse of concept maps and notes equipped with a special, AI-aided search facility to answer questions in real time, and recorded videos of online classes conducted by our faculty.
A concept map presents the entire concept of a chapter with a flow, keywords, key concepts, formulae, etc. Each highlighted area within the concept map is hyperlinked to further detailed information on the same. This zooming in and out allows the student to understand the chapter at a glance, as well as explore the constituent parts in detail.
The student's engagement with the CMC is recorded and displayed in their individual performance scorecards (PSC).
There are two kinds of demos—for guest users and for registered users. To be a registered user, one needs to sign up with a free account. Both kinds of users can explore the CMC. In the process, both can get a feel of the interface and the features of the portal. If guest users want to access the hyperlinked information, they will need to register with us by creating a free account. Paid subscribers additionally get access to the AI-aided search facility.
There are two categories under the CMC—Scholastic and Competitive. For the Scholastic section, students can choose the full course, or one or more subjects they need help with. For the Competitive section, they will need to choose the entire module for the examinations they are interested in. Video lectures are available for those who sign up for the NBF facility.
Students get to subscribe to the CMC as per their requirement, choosing only the subjects (for Scholastic) or the particular exam module (for Competitive) they need assistance with. It is not mandatory to subscribe to the entirety of the offering. Once students get a feel of the platform and grow trust in our process, they can choose to avail of more as per their need.
The entire learning journey is facilitated through an integrated notes-(white)board-faculty in a single-window solution. This integrates a physical classroom-learning experience with a digital one. Lectures with simultaneous reference to concept maps, notes and the whiteboard exponentially enhance the understanding of critical concepts, and this three-way absorption enables extended retention and recall in students.
Students are first encouraged to take online tests and evaluate their level of academic knowledge. Following this, they choose a learning pathway from the alternatives before them. Such a self-aware, learner-centered approach makes them more responsible and thoughtful about their growth curve and improvement, and allows for self-designed learning as opposed to learning by rote.
The scorecard reflects a complete perspective on the student’s performance through statistics and graphs, thereby allowing them to assess which specific subjects or chapters they need to pay more attention to. It also helps students compare themselves as individuals with the present trend, compare scholastic vs. competitive, etc., and measure this through a dynamic toggle.
